there isn't even a comparison to the old and new Pottermore. I am sure you will have no difficulty whatsoever.

Did they give any warning of the impending change or just spring it on everyone?

It says this (emphasis mine) ~
Quote:
ABOUT
PRESS
FAQS
TELL US WHAT YOU THINK
TERMS & CONDITIONS
PRIVACY & COOKIES POLICY

at the bottom the info pages, like this one:

I would have put a direct link to the "Tell Us What You Think", but they have this odd window pop-up thingy you have to click a category on to be able to tell them, so you'll have to go there. It probably helps block spammers or something.

According to the pottermore site on facebook, one of the comments was that there is no real feedback ... all they give you in the "Tell us what you think" link are multiple choice answers. There is apparently nothing personal in the multiple choices, and the choices are limited.

this is the very first thing that comes up:
What would you like to do? *
    Tell us what you think
    Report a problem
    Ask a question

"Report a problem" because they took away what you liked, with no regard for your cares, and now there's this difficult to navigate stuff. Besides, if there was a programming prob or some other glitch they'd want to know asap and would have a real person monitoring that thread.

They did, and you could even printed like a parchment with your house, wand, points, etc. but it was until Sept 15th or so. I regret not printing mine :(

They used to send out messages on the old Pottermore.
I had no idea until today that there was going to be a new site ... and I just learned of this certificate that could be printed. How could she do this to us ... and how the hell are we suppose to print these certificates now? *upset*

Not happy about not being able to print the certificate! :angry-cussing: :angry-jumpinganger:

I still carry around my W.O.M.B.A.T. Student ID card.

They sent a message in Pottermore about the old site closing down, and then they sent another one about the certificate. I learnt about it too late because I almost never went to the site and read it in a piece of news. They should have kept some of the things, that´s for sure. I hope in the end the new site turns to be awesome.

My favorite chapter from all the saga would be when Sirius and Lupin tell Harry about the Marauders at the Shrieking Shack. It gets me every time (Not sure if this thread was the right one, but just in case).

Rowling´s favorite is Chapter 34 of DH, "The forest again"
