SPEW stands for Safe Passage Each Way, and Hermione took it on as her pet project. It is intended to assist young witches and wizards traveling through Muggle territory not to inadvertently be discovered. It is especially important for first-years who, like herself, come from non-magical backgrounds.

A bezoar is used in the kitchens to keep the prepared food warm before it heads up to the great hall.

Since the deathstick is a form of punishment (popular with a few not-so-popular headmasters), it is owned by Argus Filch.




Filch brought Deloris several forms for her to sign, in the hopes of reinstating what?
