Summery here today; fluffy little clouds on a beautiful blue sky, shirtsleeve warm. Car rally/show on the main street of town, perhaps a dozen Vettes and Classics, band playing, lots of people. (I went to a Self-Publishing seminar instead, which was also a hoot.)

I am wanting to learn about self-publishing for my friend who's got one completed manuscript, and two partials almost ready to go. I'd rather edit than write myself... polish someone else's and make it shine... slowing down long enough to put it on paper takes all the fun out of it.

It is raining right now (3 in the afternoon), the typical "summer pattern". I just walked back from going to lunch with a lady I had seen for ages. On the way home I discovered a 5-stall farmers' market downtown (where I bought three tomatoes, each bigger-than-my palm), grown here in a greenhouse, then got inside just in time. * sitting here typing with the marvelous aroma of wet dog wafting up from under the table....* It will be gone in a half hour, but everything is nice and green, so I don't mind.

Sunny here the last few days. Cooler yesterday and today, but heat returning for the weekend.

We've had a bit of a breeze here the last couple of days, but nothing like your's.

A couple of sunny days and the place has turned into a dust bowl.

There was so much lightning on Wednesday night in Denver that a Metallica concert in the football stadium had to be postponed for an hour or so. It was hitting all around the stadium, within a couple blocks. I guess everybody's a critic.
