Harry Potter Fans With No Life

Mother Nature is very confused. This week, we've had snow that changed to ice and/or freezing rain that changed over to rain. Made the roads very slick and greasy. More of the same tomorrow night and Friday. In between...cold and sometimes windy. I'd rather have just the snow at this point, no matter how much we get. sheesh!

More snow into rain last night and a repeat for Friday, tho that could change. We'll see.

I took the dog for a very short walk about 3:30 pm on the 31st... My face started to hurt and burn, the dog started limping, so we hurried back home where I checked the temperature for the first time that day; it was 5F/-15C. Decided I don't need to go back outside until Thursday....

Have I mentioned that I like Spring and Summer better?

Haven't been quite that cold here...20s to 40s during the day, teens and single digits at night.

I'd like winter better if we got just snow instead of the crappy wintry mix (snow to freezing rain to rain) we've gotten...my driveway is all ice because everything that melted and the rain froze. At least today we got only snow and it was all fluff but still have all that ice underneath. blah!

Nice, big storm coming...snow along with sleet and maybe freezing rain. Oh joy.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 11 to 15 inches and ice accumulations of up to one half of an inch expected. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Central Washington, Interior Hancock, Coastal Washington, Southern Penobscot and Coastal Hancock Counties.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility and cause very hazardous travel.

lol. Watching the snow fall, waiting for the transition to ice and/or sleet, not that windy in my neck of the woods yet but it is COLD! Temp is up to 5 degrees; 1 degree when I got up. But then again, it is winter in Maine. And still above 0, which is always a good thing. lol!
