EGAD! That's nuts! Howler, I hope you're staying warm and not venturing out if you don't have to. We haven't been quite that bad but still cold, mainly because of the wind chills. Wind gusts yesterday in my neck of the woods were about 25 - 30 mph; some parts of Maine they gusted over 50. Doesn't look as bad today. At least it's been sunny for a change.

Another storm coming here Tuesday evening/night through Wednesday, so far looking like mostly snow, 6 - 10 inches but it's not written in stone yet. Hoping for a snow day Wednesday. Going to be a hell of a mess.

We've got snow forecast for the rest of the week, but nothing like what either of you are contending with. You're welcome to come vacation in my balmy 20sF, with 5 or 6 inches of snow. You'd even have clean sheets and all that uptown swanky stuff....

hmmm ... all we are getting is a bunch of powdery snow (that makes driving in completely treacherous - white out conditions) and more deep-freeze warnings. Bloody hell it has been cold here!!!!!

Figgy, as soon as I am retired, I will likely take you up on your offer!!!!!

As soon as I wrote my last post above, we suddenly started having fairly nice ( for Feb ) weather. Just some light snow and even above freezing in the daytime. Of course there were 50 - 90 mph gusts of wind slid in just to keep things interesting, but nicer on the whole...

still cold here ... today is the first day we are not nearing the -30 mark. However, -20 is still cold, especially when that blasted wind blows, and it started getting nasty yesterday wind wise. To top it off, more Snxx keeps falling down. YUCK!!!

Hasn't been freezing cold like what Howler's getting but no heat wave, either. We're still getting snow changing to rain causing slush everywhere then freezing at night when the temps drop.

Yesterday, it started snowing about noon, got about an inch or two then changed over to rain at 4:00, just before time to leave for the day. Slush in some spots, a bit icy in others. Woke up this morning...ice driveway is back. Another storm due here Thursday...hoping for just snow this time.

we have been in another deep freeze over the last few days.
Weather Canada has been issuing Extreme Cold warnings again ... been so much fun (not)

Tomorrow we are expected to get a bit of a reprieve. hallelujah!!!
