I believe the drought is finally (hopefully) over. My yard has had 4¾" of rain in the last 10 days! YAY!
the city I work in has likely had over twice that amount
these are some of the pics I could find from online ... my daughter's friend lost her car in this torrent; it is the grey one in the pics

That's a LOT of rain! WOW! Sorry to hear about your daughter's friend's car. My cousin's son got caught in a flash flood a few weeks ago. (they live in Oklahoma) Water came out of nowhere. Though he lost his car, luckily he made it to safety and is doing good. Thank God! We've had quite a few quick thunderbumpers the past week and a lot of rain which also means an over abundant supply of mosquitos. At least this week is supposed to be sunny and hot (80's plus); just hoping the muggies don't stick around too long.

:crying-blue: :crying-yellow: The rodeo was cancelled on Saturday at the local fair ... and it was the only day I could attend ... :crying-yellow: :crying-blue:

have you ever lost a rubber boot in the mud? well, the grounds were so bad that I think we could have lost small children in it

at least they were able to move the mini chuckwagon races to another arena - it was smaller, but workable; just not as much seating for viewers.

re lost boot - there were some times when I was growing up that the path to the barn got like that. There was one time that I not only had the boot sucked off, but also couldn't get it out pulling with both hands after I put a plank down to stand on. Sometimes it seemed like there was no bottom.

At least some of the rodeo got to be held.

Nothing as extravagant for me BUT have walked through a muddy field and had my shoe removed for me. lol. Been 90+ degrees here the past three days, not much relief at night. Thunderstorms, lightening, torrential down pours yesterday afternoon; this morning...ahhhhhhhhh!!! Refreshing!!! No melting for the next few days!!! Happy, happy Moo!!!

We are having Summer! Last week on Tuesday it snowed in the morning (but was too warm to do anything but melt), this week is warm (Denver's in the 90s F/ 32s C, but up here in the banana belt its quite comfy), and summery with afternoon rain. At night its down into the 40sF / 7C.
