Ahem ... :angry-soapbox: ... we got a lovely (small) skiff of snow, plus we have had 3 days worth of fog and frost. Our world is really quite pretty right now. The power (due to all the frost/moisture) has been flickering off and on all day. I am so glad I have a couple days off!!!

Pity you are missing all the fun Paint!
I will try to send all this your way (using my best Snow/frost spell)

Had a white Christmas! Yea! Thursday was nice then Friday. ugh! Freezing rain started about 10 am and didn't stop until around 8 pm. Drive home from work was not fun. Could feel my Trax sliding ever so slightly in the usual slick spots but I made it to Indian Island. Then I saw my driveway...ice, ice, ice. At least I didn't slide into my driveway this time. Thank goodness for AWD and Stabilitrak.

Anyhoo, went out yesterday morning to try to move some of the ice at the end of my driveway. On my way back to my porch, slipped and slid some next to my car but I didn't fall. Back is a little sore but not as bad as I thought it might be. Just have to be careful moving. Managed to make it to the store to buy two 20 pound bags of sno-melt to loosen the ice. No problem spreading one bag all over the driveway, emptied the second in the bucket I use to store it. I'm going to chill today and not do much of anything.

wow - that ice can be dangerous indeed! Take care Moo!!!
pity someone hasn't invented shoes that can be filled with ice melt product, so that every step taken on ice will be secure. I know there are products (with sharp pointy ice pick type things attached) that we can strap to our shoes to get better grip on ice. Very popular around here for those who hike or walk in the winter.

Have you thought about getting some of those strap-on spikes for your shoes, MOO?

Yak Traks! They have stretchy rubberband-like straps, with cleetes or spikes and they're easy to take off and put onto your boots. Great on ice (not so good on smooth hard floors, like rock or tile though).

Temps down to normal, with blustery winds. Plus a dusting of snow.
