I also cannot see the third film being the last. Way too many years to cover. Mind you, WB is fairly good at "condensed version" filmology.

what do you think ... will Hagrid or Slughorn be given a cameo appearance?

I often wonder why the script had to be rewritten ... what was wrong with it?
I love that Jacob is a major character in this series.

It could have young Tom Riddle and all sorts of characters from that general time... maybe we will meet Harry's grandparents on the magical side. I wonder what Aberforth looked like as a kid.

re the script - I could see them getting part way through and finding some big plot bunny in their way. Or they might have decided that some part of the story would be better in the next one because this one was getting too long or something. Since the story isn't already written (as Harry was), maybe there was some really neat thing that occurred to one of them that needed to be put in.

yup - or they need something to happen at the end that completely changed how some of the characters behaved/acted/spoke.

Its funny that they didn't mention anything about the location. A while back I thought I read it would be set in South America, but no one's said anything recently.

I remember a statement (blog - not sure) stating that the majority of the filming for FB3 would be in Brazil.
