LOL - the phrase "climate change" has become the 'go to' of blame it on's.
climate does change .. always and continually. If it didn't, we would still be under miles and miles of ice. It cannot be stopped. The world will eventually go back to the way it was before the asteroid slammed into earth millions of years ago causing the ice age. We will go back to earth being a lush and tropical planet. Just not in our life time, that is for sure.

and all the tax grabs by the government will not change the outcome.

and who knows, maybe some idiot who has access to dinosaur dna will bring them back as well ... thankfully, not in my lifetime.

We got measurable snow Friday night and most of the day yesterday. Wound up with about 2 inches, just enough for the plows to leave one hell of a mess at the end of my driveway. So it begins.

Cold, cold, cold. It was 17 degrees when I got up this morning; might hit the low 30s if we're lucky. lol. Yup, getting to be that time of year. *sighs*

The stuff that is giving you harsh weather has, so far, missed us. The fronts have been swooping down from western Canada and curving east just past us. The year I remember this happening most was the one where we got no snow to speak of all winter - until St. Patrick's Day when we got 4 feet over the weekend.

Its supposed to get fairly windy for Sunday through Wednesday, then not get above freezing for three days and snow a couple inches.

and it is cold and windy out there ... YUCK!

Same here, Figgy. Got one day of rain and warm temps...most of the snow is gone, though we did get a dusting last night. Been cold and windy...rain tomorrow, nice Tuesday...then there's Wednesday. Rumor is plowable snow for everyone. Should be interesting and glad I won't have to drive in it.

We got 4 "County-wide Alerts" today. There's a fire a mountain over and it was insanely windy (84 miles per hour gusts). The conditions are ripe for a bad fire so they jumped right on it, but even so it was up to twenty acres and two structures lost in just a couple hours. About dark the last Alert said it was 50% contained.

They don't pay our fire crews enough.

very windy here as well. blowing snow semi blocked my driveway - hopefully I got enough of it shoveled out yesterday to get to work this morning

Can't imagine fighting fires in winds. You never know which way the wind will turn the fire.
Praying they get it contained 100% soon

I have been reading about the devastation caused by the tornados between Arkansas & Kentucky. Unbelievable! My heart goes out to all of those affected.

From what was on the news, the tornado traveled about 250 miles, thru 5 states. Holy! Never heard of one staying on the ground that long and traveling that far. An Amazon shipping center was badly damaged with a LOT of people trapped but the worst was the nursing home that got hit. So many injuries but one resident killed. So saddened.
