Ours come out every Tuesday. We've gone down to abnormally dry, which is good, and more rain this week. We're running less than inch of what we should get; was around 5 inches. At this point, we'll take what we can get. A lot of the state is still moderate, the southern coast is still severe. They need it the most but aren't getting enough to put a dent in it. Hopefully they'll be able to do that with this next bout coming. Fingers crossed.

2022 in Denver is at the third hottest summer since they started keeping records. (Most days above 90F/32.22C.) There are still a few days definitely above 90 coming, could be more...

Been one of our hottest summers, too, tho not the hottest. I think it's the 3rd for us. A bit unnerving. If it's this hot during the summer, how cold is the winter going to be?

We usually start getting cooler this time of year. So far, nope. Not happening. Been upper 80s the last couple of days, supposed to be 86 today, I think 81 tomorrow. Then we get a little rain. Then temps are supposed to be in the 60s until Friday, when it gets into the 70s. About the only consistent so far...the acorns are having fun bouncing off my roof. lol

We got a couple more very hot days in Sept.
this last weekend had simply gorgeous weather ... not hot, not cold, no wind. OMG ... PERFECT!

Did you get any rainfall or winds from the hurricane Moo?

OMG ... what a nasty winter storm we got this weekend
Winter has come in roaring!

started Sat evening and kept blowing and snowing until the wee hours Monday morning. Wind finally eased up around 8 am. Major highways closed for two days; lots of people stranded. And it was wet and heavy ... lots of tree damage! (We typically get dry powdery snow) There was 15" of the white stuff on top my garbage containers; and 3-ft drift in my driveway. Took me hours to dig out.
So very happy that I was allowed to work from home yesterday! And so very happy that I didn't lose power (so many other places did)

the temps are supposed to be better over the weekend though. Good thing, because I still have yardwork to do ... plant bulbs for the spring; dig up my carrots ... leaf raking ... and a few other things. Looks like this will be the last weekend to get the work done. And then it becomes "shoveling" season.

got to admit ... I much prefer 'watermelon' season more than 'shoveling' season :happy-smileyflower:

wow Howler! Way too soon for that crap! You might want to look into getting someone to plow your driveway when it's that bad. Yikes! Like you, when we finally get that mess, I can work from home, too. My State Director was very approving of that. And I don't mind watching it snow while I work from my kitchen table!

We've been enjoying wonderful temps this past week. Temps in the 70s, windows open...then remnants of Nicole yesterday. Rained Friday night and early Saturday, got a break, then downpour! That was a LOT of rain. This week...temps in the low 40s if we're lucky, northern parts of Maine could see up to 6 inches of snow. We might get snow showers but that's pretty much it. Yup. Think "that" time of year is just about here.

ended up getting that "1" day to finish with the yard.
and wam ... another snow storm (highways closed again). and another
and more heading our way today. e-gads!

so very glad I bought an electric snow blower.
It didn't help much with the wet heavy stuff we got in Oct, but it sure made short work of the piles we got from the storms this month already.
my driveway is 50 ft long and 3-cars wide (haha ... much bigger than my house!!!) (house is on a double or triple lot ... so 'big' yard; 'little' house  )

I used to get someone to blow it out, but they started charging outrageous $$ ... was costing me way too much. I had a gas fueled blower, but since I am unable to start those things I gave it to my brother and bought an electric one. It isn't as powerful as the gas one, but it works well. At least it has so far. Really long cords suck big time, but I really don't see I have much choice. There might be a battery operated one out there ... I will likely check into it next year.

I don't have a snowblower but then again, my driveway gets plowed as I'm now a tribal senior. My driveway is a lot smaller than yours, Howler - 30 ft long, wide enough for two cars to park side-by-side. It'll fit no more than four cars total. Next year I hope to get it paved as I'm pretty tired of the soft-rock driveway I have now.

Cold and snow found my neck of the woods, though not much snow. Just enough to make a mess. Mountains and northern Maine easily go 6+ inches. Right now...they can have it. Supposed to get a "warm up" the first part of the week...temps in the 40s. lol. Then back to the 30s during the day (not going to mention what the wind chills will be). At least it's supposed to be mostly sunny, crappy weather returning Friday. Yup...it's getting there...
