sounds good Paint.
But another thought. When it rains over areas where there are existing fires, smoke still happens. Does this smoke only last a minimal time, or does it only stay low to the ground or does it also, eventually, get diminished by the rain.

I love researching stuff like this but my time is limited, so if you already possess the knowledge, let me know. If not, no worries - nothing will happen to me if I don't know the answer.

Remember, young one. That which appears as smoke, in many cases is actually steam.
But yes, if conditions are calm when raining, the smoke tends to stay very low.
It can be quite nasty, really.

I can imagine. Thanks Paint. And I can see where steam and smoke may (at one point) get mixed up.

It happens at fires all the time.
BTW; To the trained eye, smoke and steam do act differently. You would be amazed how often we are called to respond to a structure fire, to discover it's the clothes dryer vent.
Not a problem though. Would much rather have a mistake like that, other than a delayed alarm for a real fire.

Clothes dryer vent ... really?
I guess I can see how some people could get it mixed up.
but yes, better to be safe than sorry.

All we've been getting is heat. Yesterday was nice though - bit cooler and a nice breeze. Got company yesterday and we got to sit outside for about an hour - even hubby.

When I looked at th radar last night, the storms seemed to be rather widely spaced out wast.

Hope the storms only got close enough to maybe strike certain persons by lightning. :icon-wink:
