A few towns and cities east and south east were not so lucky. They got hit pretty bad. Although they are not claiming tornado (some sightings), someone's roof ended up inside someone else's house - they are saying that this was caused by straight-line winds.

Looks like the dog days of summer have arrived.
Hot and humid with scattered heavy thunderstorms.
Oh joy.

Sunny, temps in the 70's, absolutely beautiful. I live in the last house at the end of the street...Muggle Son mowed the lawn yesterday, the guy next door did his over the weekend, the couple two houses down from me did theirs Friday. Three out of four of us took advantage of the weather...yard work!

it has been frightfully hot here over the last week - and the air conditioner at work broke down the beginning of July. Yesterday at work was just nasty - filled my recycling basket with ice and water, soaked my feet in it when I was able and tried to keep somewhat cool that way.

Temps are suppose to begin cooling off by tomorrow - yippee!

Sorry to hear that Paint - you have my sympathy. I sure hope it does not last as long as it did here.

The heat isn't really high, but the humidity has risen into the tropical range.*

I hope you don't mix your recycle bin with the shredder, Howler. :teasing-neener:

* I don't do humidly very well.
