Figgy...comfort moo. A few of my co-workers aren't fall fans, either. They find it somewhat depressing. A few others feel the same about winter. Now, for my 2 cents worth. Love the fall - cooler temps, beautiful foliage, Halloween, pumpkins, beautiful mornings (yes, I'm a morning person having to be up at 4:45 during the work week and sleeping in for me is 7:00 am), beautiful sunsets, Thanksgiving! About the only thing I don't like is burning leaves - the smoke drives my allergies and sinuses nuts!

After last night's rain (only about 2 minutes worth of thunder and no lightening), beautiful and cooler until Thursday when the next rainfall is due. Think I can handle it. :handgestures-thumbupright:

Awwww ~ Thanks Moo!

I used to trick myself, as long as I could wear shorts or sandals it was still Summertime. And our little town had a Dairy Queen that closed up for the Winter, so as long as the DQ was open I didn't have to admit it was Fall. There have been a few years during adulthood where something kept everything so busy that I could ignore it was actually Fall. Elaine Boosler had a comedy routine where she said there were still days where she woke up and was happy because she didn't have to go to school that day. Me, too. But I do love Halloween - or at least dressing up and acting silly.

The whole hating/loving school thing really needs to be in another thread. :naughty:
Since when does one need a reason for dressing up and acting silly? :character-jestercolor: :teasing-tease:

Cooler weather to arrive within days. Can't wait to dig through the closet for flannel shirts.

==Discussion==
a cold front will continue to pass through southern Saskatchewan this
evening. This cold front will usher in below normal temperatures
along with a band of precipitation. Most of this precipitation will
fall as rain. However, with overnight temperatures falling toward
the freezing mark by morning, the falling rain will become mixed with
or turn over to snow.

For most areas the snowfall accumulation will be minimal. It is
possible that local areas in the higher terrain may see up to 5 cm of
snow accumulation overnight and Tuesday morning.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as
warnings may be required or extended.

Please monitor the latest forecasts and warnings from Environment
Canada at http://www.Weatheroffice.Gc.CA

I think I rather dislike that silly laughing snowman emoticon!
feels like it is mocking my pain.

I think it snowed during the night, but this morning I cannot see any white stuff in the yard - I can't say how icy the roads will be this morning, or how much of the nasty white stuff I will see on my way to work. Yuck!!!!

Calgary got hit yesterday with the stupid white stuff. Unbelievable!
Good grief ... it is September. We've only had 3 months with no snow in it this year!

I'm thinking, by December the cold weather pattern will have shifted to where you'll be skinny-dipping in the family pool.
