After a beautiful Saturday, Sunday is cloudy and rain expected later today, rain most of the week. Looks like the weekend might be okay; goes well with the time change next weekend. At least the rain isn't going to be steady all week long...breaks from time to time. Maybe if we get all the rain now, we'll have just snow later. I can live with that...no freezing rain would be a welcome change from last year.

Guess I'll just watch the squirrels having fun gathering acorns! lol

Be forewarned. We have 50 degrees F lower today than yesterday, and forecast to get 4-12" s#$% over the next 3 days. Each day's high is lower than today's low.

Its heading your way sort of. Hopefully it will use up all its energy before you have to deal with it.

That nasty stuff started moving in on Friday afternoon. It was absolutely gorgeous during the day on Friday. Then the winds and the cold front moved in. The wind has been so loud the last 3 days I haven't slept much. And all that wonderful white stuff ... going to be fun drive to work this morning.

We've got a 12-14 hour break (sunny and 18F/-7 or -8C), then another ton of snow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Meanwhile, I've acquired a chest cold that sounds like I'm Typhoid Mary or something...don't lean in too close to the screen.

I think we get our break today ... dear lord, finally!
I swear the wind was so strong on Tuesday ... that it felt like it was pushing my car backwards while i was driving to work. UGH! Sooo cold here yesterday morning (-18C / 0F).

Today it is supposed to warm up to a high of 4C / 39F - I will believe it when I see it. "Prediction" is just a fancy word the weather people use, but in fact, it is just fortune telling ... Trelawny would be so proud to see her craft in today's world

If there is no wind, the day will be a blessing!!!

We haven't had any of the white stuff yet but second massive wind and rain storm in two weeks was a lot of fun. The one two weeks ago wasn't too bad but the one that hit Thursday night and most of Friday morning nailed us. Almost lost power Thursday night and Friday morning but stayed on long enough for me to get ready for work Friday morning. Still dark when I have to leave so...

Obstacle course getting to work. Someone's garbage can jumped off the sidewalk and hit my car. Thank goodness it wasn't metal and no damage. Debris and leaves everywhere. Made it to work; power was on. Found out the power went out about 9 am at my house, wasn't on when I got home a little after 5 pm. Luckily the power came back on at 5:50.

Lots of folks still don't have power; heard a substation was badly damaged by the storm. Hope it doesn't take too long as our temps are going to be 20ish to low 30s at night, 40's during the day.

glad your car wasn't damaged ... mind you, it would have been interesting listening to you explain to the please-men that garbage cans were causing a disturbance. (sorry, couldn't resist the Mad-Eye reference!)

so glad your power is back on .. and I hope the rest get sorted out quickly. Especially with those temps!

Everyone has their power back on. Yea!

Got snow Friday but not much, a little better than dusting. But froze to my car because of the rain before it and temps fell like a rock fast. At least we had some sun and just enough wind to thaw out everything. Didn't make it to work Friday...woke up with the back from hell. Too much sitting at work finally caught up with me. Better now but still sore. Aleve has been my friend the past few days.

Anyhoo, temps have been what we usually get in January - teens and 20s at night, low 30s if we're lucky. Another storm Monday night into Tuesday - freezing drizzle/rain into snow, about an inch. Yippee.
